Disaster Support for Haitian Earthquake Victims

As most of us have heard the news by now, the impoverished nation of Haiti has been devastated by a 7.0 magnitude earthquake.  Hundreds of people are dead and thousands more are feared dead.  The capital city of Port-au-Prince is devastated.

As much of the world has been quick to come to Haiti's aid by sending supplies, volunteers, food and finances, it is also an unfortunate opportunity for scammers to take advantage of a disaster.  The most common form of this is through bogus or less than reputable folks taking donations online.  Please be very careful!!!

If you are in a position donate money in support of victims of the Haitian earthquake, make sure you're donating to a reputable disaster relief organization. There are several reputable charities pledging support.
